The HK Prize and the Hong Kong Film Awards

The Hong Kong Prize is an esteemed award honoring Hong Kong artists. Each year, the Hong Kong Art Centre bestows this prestigious prize on one artist whose work is recognized for contributing to Hong Kong culture. Winners receive both a monetary prize and certificate of recognition; first prize stands at HK$200,000 while second place receives 100K and third place 50K; additionally their artwork can be showcased at the Hong Kong Arts Centre.

The Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA) has become an annual highlight in Hong Kong’s film industry since 1993, organized by the Hong Kong Film Workers Association. Recognizing outstanding films as well as providing an important platform for local talent promotion, these awards are chosen through voting by professional film workers and critics from Hong Kong’s film industry.

This year’s Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony will take place on November 26 at Venetian Macao Resort and Casino and is anticipated to draw over 4,000 people. Over 30 movies are nominated in 10 categories such as best actor/actresses, cinematography/editing/production design/costume design/score – each winner of which will be announced during the awards ceremony.

HK Prize: Hong Kong Global Development Prize

The hk prize is an esteemed award that recognizes young people for making significant contributions towards advancing international development. Open to residents or residents from Hong Kong aged 18-30 who currently reside here. Winners will be honored with both a monetary prize as well as the chance to present their ideas before key stakeholders in the sector – submission deadline is October 2021.

BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE is the highest decision-making body for THE PRIZE, responsible for reviewing and interpreting its articles; proposing promising research fields; selecting members for The Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Team; setting requirements for nominating experts; verifying final review results before approval; and planning award ceremonies.

The Hong Kong Science Museum is hosting an exhibit titled “2024 The Future Science Prize”, which highlights the research accomplishments of past Hong Kong Prize laureates over time and provides visitors with an opportunity to understand more about scientific innovation’s effect on society.
