The Hong Kong Prize Scholarship Programme provides postgraduate students interested in Hong Kong history with financial assistance to conduct their research. Applicants will be required to submit both a published article and blinded abstract by 31 August 2024 on this website and those successful will receive both an engraved gold medal as well as a cash award of HK$25,000.

Each year, this prestigious prize recognizes an article relevant to Hong Kong studies published worldwide and forms an integral component of ICAS annual conventions.
ICAS has also revealed its 2024 Distinguished Asian Arts Practitioner Awards shortlist, to be presented during its opening ceremony on 30 November. Nominees for these prestigious awards came from diverse artistic disciplines such as theatre, dance, music and visual art and will be recognized for their exceptional achievements and contributions to their local arts scene.
Swire Group has significantly upped its prize pool for local runners completing the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon within 3 hours for men or 3 hours 30 minutes for women – an incentive award of HK$10,000 will be presented. To increase participation and participation rates in this year’s marathon race, title sponsor Swire Group increased prize money for those achieving its ‘Marathon Challenge’ of finishing within those time limits.
Mark Clifford of CFHK attended a screening of “She’s in Jail” at the Hong Kong Film Festival and was moved by its story of Chow Hang-tung’s courage despite the erosion of freedom in Hong Kong. We donated money to her fund and look forward to supporting its work for years to come. A donation of HK$1.2 million was made by Mr Clifford himself, with any additional sum being raised by members through fundraising events; all this will benefit underprivileged children in Hong Kong.
